Top Traffic Sources

When it comes to building a successful business online, there is no greater component needed than targeted traffic.

The problem is, with many new marketers, their budgets are so restricted that they are limited to only being able to take advantage of "manual marketing", where you exchange your time for traffic.

Thankfully, there are ways of jump-starting your website traffic faster and easier than you may think.

In fact, there are a number of different strategies that you can use to instantly flood your website with fresh traffic, as well as boost your search engine ranking so that you can benefit from direct, organic traffic as well.

This report focuses on only the most powerful free traffic generation strategies online.

From SEO to article marketing, I'll show you exactly how to build fast-action campaigns that will funnel unlimited traffic to your website, absolutely free.

Let's begin!

First Steps

Before you develop your traffic campaigns, it's important to set up your websites so that it's easy to see where your traffic is coming from. That way, you are able to eliminate under-performing campaigns and focus only on the strategies that are producing results.

Think about it;  if you develop 6 different traffic channels for your website including article marketing, press releases or even forum marketing, without a way to track your progress, you'll never know what source is responsible for sending you the majority of your traffic.

Since you want to spend your time only on campaigns that are truly producing results, you need a way to determine viable sources of traffic.

You can do this really easily (and for free) by creating an account with Stat Counter, available at

With Stat Counter, you are given logs that house information about your website traffic. The stats that are available to you are quite extensive and you can set up multiple accounts within one main centralized location. This is helpful if you plan to monitor statistics for multiple websites.

You can subscribe to a free account initially and as you get comfortable with how the system works, you can upgrade your account at affordable monthly rates (there are different packages available, so it's best to explore them all to determine which one is best suited for the level of traffic your site is receiving).

These stats also play an important part in optimizing your website because it will allow you to see what keywords people are using in order to locate your site.

This is a great way of finding out exactly what keywords and search terms people are using to find your website, and by understanding what keywords are yielding the best traffic, you can begin to implement those keywords (as well as other related keywords) into different content areas on your website, boosting up your search engine ranking very quickly!

Keeping a pulse on your website stats also helps you detect whether people are distributing your download or thank you pages without authorization as well as what pages are most popular with visitors from various external websites.

Search Engine Optimization

In order for your website to gain exposure within the major search engines like or, you need to first take a look at the actual structure of your website.

Regardless whether your site was developed as a traditional HTML page or you are using a blog platform, you can still quickly optimize your pages for maximum search engine ranking.

Here is a quick summary of what "on site SEO' is all about:

On site SEO consist of modifications made to your website that will instantly optimize every page for better ranking within the search engines.

Since search engines spider websites by crawling through them and viewing the source code, it's important that you learn exactly how to structure your pages for optimum results.    This includes adding in relevant keywords, both within the title of your pages as well as throughout your content.

When your website is able to secure its placement in the search engines, you will be able to generate unstoppable traffic, absolutely free - while setting up SEO based campaigns on complete autopilot, meaning that once your website has solidified its place in the search engines, you can keep traffic rolling in without having to further tweak or optimize your site!

Since we are looking to secure as much traffic as possible, absolutely free - the first step is to evaluate your webpages and improve them for maximum ranking.

To begin, it's important to understand that SEO (known as "search engine optimization") involves every single page on your website. You don't just optimize the index or main page, but every sub page featured on your site, as search engines rank pages individually.

This means it's important to use common optimization strategies throughout your entire network, as each page can generate direct traffic from the search engines.

SEO doesn't have to be complicated, in fact, you can optimize your webpages very quickly just by following a simple formula, that includes:

  •   Optimizing Page Titles
  • Optimizing Keywords
  • Optimizing Navigation
  • Optimizing Anchor Text
  • Optimizing Your SILO Structure
  • Including a SiteMap

Page titles indicate to the search engines what your page is about, so it's important to integrate your primary keywords into every page on your site.

You should also use varying keywords on each page, so that you are able to rank for a variety of important keywords relating to the content of your site. Your title tag should include two or three primary keywords that best describe your website.

For instance, if I wanted to rank for the keyword phrase "get your ex back quickly, I would include both keywords within the title of my page like this:

Get Your Ex Back Quickly |  Proven Strategies Revealed  (or something similar)

You can separate your keywords by using the | symbol or commas (,) to make them easier to read or just use spacing.

Note:  Keep your titles trimmed down, however as titles that are too long will be cut down by the search engines anyway, so make sure that you feature only the most important keywords and do your best to keep it below 60 characters.

You will need to use an editing program such as Frontpage or Dreamweaver to modify the page titles of your website pages.

You also want to incorporate relevant keywords into every page on your site, paying special attention to highlighting important keywords in the first few lines of every page.

Search engine crawlers will browse your pages, paying extra attention to the first few lines, using the content as an indication as to the relevancy of your website.

It's also wise to use different tags, including the H1 tag (known as the "header tag") to showcase important content.  H1 will bold and enlarge text so that you can create headlines and sub headlines, alerting search engines (and human visitors) that the text included in the H1 tags is extra important.

Header tags are formatted like this:

<h1> Your words <h1>

Make sure that you weave your keywords throughout your content, so that you aren't penalized for "keyword stuffing".  You want to be careful to create content that is easy to understand by both search engines and the customers who visit your site, so build a natural keyword pattern into each of your pages.

Apart from the tags that we have just covered, there are other very important on-site SEO factors that you need to take into consideration if you want your website to rank as high as possible within the engines.

One of these on-site factors is getting into the habit of using "Alt Tags".

Alt Tags are where you attach a textual description to an image on your webpage.  The reason Alt Tags were originally created was to give those who were blind the ability to understand what the images were for.  Throughout the years, search engines have used alt tags to identify what the content is about and so taking advantage of this is critical in order to rank as high as possible.

For instance, if you were including a logo on your webpage, within the source of the document you will see something like this:

<img src="image-name.jpg" width="220" height="322">

When attaching an "Alt Tag" to this image, it would now look like this:

<img src="image-name.jpg" alt="Keyword Goes Here" width="220" height="322">

Your navigation also plays an important factor in your overall ranking, and you want to develop a navigation system that is easy to use.

Search engines view the links within pages as a way of determining the relevancy of your content.  It is also highly recommended that you use only text-based links whenever possible, rather than image links as it helps the search engine spiders follow the links successfully throughout your site.

Link each page from the index page, using "anchor text" to describe the link. You also want to ensure that images contain anchor text as search engine spiders are unable to understand images.

Part of a solid navigation system includes creating a site map for your website.  A site map is simply a table of contents for your website, describing the different pages available and the content/topics discussed within your different sections.  A site map makes it easier for both the public to navigate through your site but also for effectively indexing your site with the search engines.

You should also organize your site map into categories, remembering that this table of contents will be viewed by your visitors and not just search engine spiders, so focus on making sure it's comprehensive and easy for your guests to understand and utilize effectively.

You can create a site map easily by visiting:

Next, visit and notify them that you have added a sitemap to your site.

Finally, a SILO structure will help improve your rankings.  SILO means that your website will be set up in categories, with articles and content placed in appropriate categories all linking from your main page.

This helps spiders (and human visitors) explore your entire website, while giving you the opportunity to use category titles as keywords!

Note  :  If you are using a blogging platform like Wordpress, a SILO structure is already created for you.

Getting Indexed Quickly

Now that you've optimized your website for the search engines, it's time to make sure that your website is indexed.  Being indexed simply means that your website begins to show in search results with the major search engines.

There are a number of different ways to quickly get your site indexed including:

Create Feeder Sites

Feeder sites are free websites hosted with authority sites. Since these websites are already indexed within the search engines, by creating a website of your own on their server you will be able to get your site indexed as well.

There are a number of different feeder sites online, with the most popular ones being:

Not only will these sites help you get your website indexed quickly, but you'll also be able to build solid backlinks that will generate even more exposure for your site!

All you need to do is quickly create a one-page site on these feeder resources, and feature a direct link back to your site. Consider adding in a few articles or other content that will make your page look established and complete, and then include information about your site (and your company) so that those visiting your feeder page have a clear idea as to what you are offering.

The objective of creating your page on feeder sites is to funnel in free, targeted traffic by piggy-backing off of the authority and existing ranking that these websites carry within the search engines.

PROMINENT linking to your main website is the key!

You can also get your site indexed by using other free channels and popular communities including:

Digging Your Website is a very popular community that users visit daily to share content and post new site discoveries. Commenting On Blogs

Seek out high ranking blogs in your niche market and post relevant (and informative) comments. Do not just post comment spam (useless plugs to your site) but take the time to post something useful that is likely to be left entact by the blog owner. Post your sites URL within your comment post.

Yahoo Answers

By posting answers to current questions within the Yahoo Answers community, you can include your website in the "Reference" box. This is a super-fast way of getting your site indexed, and you can include multiple websites within a single post.

Article marketing is one of the most rewarding forms of promotion if you follow the basic principals of marketing. You want to write articles about topics within your niche market with the objective of gaining as much exposure and back links to your site as possible.

Creating Your Author's Resource Box:

Essentially, a resource box is very much like a fast-track commercial. You have only a few seconds to motivate them to read further and explore your website. If you are not sure what you can offer within your resource box, here are a few things I have used successfully for over a year now:

Free Report

Suscription to your newsletter

Free ebook

Free sample of a paid product

Free Trial Membership

Video Guide

Audio call or transcript

As long as you are offering something relevant to the subject of your article, you should be able to feature a high converting resource box with the required elements.

Direct Call To Action:

This is exceptionally important. You need to directly ask your reader to click on your link.

Don’t hint around or use passive tones within your resource box. You want to directly say “Click here to download the ebook” or another aggressive call to action that instructs them exactly what to do next.

Keyword Anchor

This is a search engine technique in which you actually integrate your keyword as the anchor text to link to your website, or to your special landing page.

For example, if my keyword phrase was “free traffic generation strategies”, I would use something like this:

“Click on the link for more free traffic generation strategies!” - which would direct readers to my main site.

You should try to submit at least 5 new articles a week into all of the top ten article directories. The more often you submit, the more traffic you will generate to your websites along with how much more you will build name recognition and ultimately, your brand.

Here are a list of high traffic article directories that you can use to submit your articles to in order to begin sending traffic to your site:

Final Words

You now have many different free traffic strategies at your fingertips, but it's time to take action and begin setting up your campaigns so that you can drive in an unlimited amount of traffic to your site.

While these strategies can take a bit of time, once you've set them up they can continue to drive in traffic for many months to come!

I wish you the very best of success with jump-starting your website business!
